Packing tips from the removal industry
- Heavy items always go in small boxes. Books, crockery, and tools in small boxes only.
- Label every box on the side not the top, you will stack them and never see the top label.
- Fill boxes completely. Half empty boxes collapse when stacked and things get damaged.
- Use scrunched packing paper to fill gaps, gentler on fragile items than newspaper.
- Pack one room at a time and use room stickers so your removal company knows where everything goes.
- Order more boxes than you think you need. You can always return unused flat packs.
